Class Cancellations by the Studio

Incase of an emergency, bad weather, or another unforeseen issue the studio will send out SMS text messages to those who have a phone number on their account and emails out to notify students of a closure or cancellation, if it impacts a class they are signed up for. This is why keeping a cell phone number, email subscribed, and signing up for classes before arrival is helpful. In this case, anyone who is applicable for a refund on the class from the studio, will be provided one.

Incase of no sign ups for a regularly scheduled class, the class will be cancelled an hour beforehand. Again, signing up ahead of time lets us know that someone is interested in attending, and would prevent a class cancellation.

Class Cancellations by the Student

There is no “late cancel” fee, as of right now. This could change if this becomes a recurring community issue. A “late cancel” is a cancellation made after the 4 hour window before said class starts. Currently, you may cancel at any time after you’ve signed up for a class with no repercussions or late fees. HOWEVER, you are only eligible for a class refund if you cancel on time (before the 4 hour late cancel window starts). This refund only applies to clients who have purchased a single class (a drop-in), have the Basic Membership, or a pack. Free classes and members with the Sage Membership, do not apply to the class refund. If you need to cancel, please try to do this BEFORE the four hour window leading up to the class. For example if the class starts at 5PM and you need to cancel, try your best to cancel before 1PM. After that, you aren’t eligible for a class refund (you lose that class) and may surprise the teacher if they have already checked their class numbers and planned accordingly. Please be mindful of the late cancel window. For now, your Momence account will just receive “late cancel” badges to your profile when you late cancel, as no fees are in place currently.

Membership Policies

SAGE MEMBERSHIP: Once a client has used a membership for the current month (even once), no refunds are available. If the membership hasn’t been used at all, you can get a refund on that month and cancel. You can cancel a membership at any time.

Memberships can be paused if a client is going out of town or on a long vacation. This can be done up to 3x a year per client. Exceptions may be made on a case by case basis or in the event of a bad customer experience. No class cancellation refunds due to the “unlimited” nature of this membership. For example if you miss a class and cancel on time (within the 4 hour window) and are “eligible” for a class refund, you already have unlimited classes so there is no “added” class back into your pack.

BASIC MEMBERSHIP: Basic Memberships include 5 classes per month. These classes do not role over if unused. Once a client has used the membership for the current month (even once), no refunds are available. If a class cancellation is done on time (4 hours or more before class begins), a single class will be added back to your month supply. For example, you have something come up and can’t make it to a class on time, that you’ve already signed up for. You cancel the day before, and a class will return back to your current month’s Basic Membership. If cancellation is made after the 4 hour window begins, you don’t receive a refund on that class, and you forfeited it due to this being a “late cancel”.

Foundations Policies

Due to the customized nature of Foundations, clients must sign up and pay for the total experience up front. There is a minimum of 3 sessions together, with a maximum of 5 sessions. Foundations are encouraged to be completed in one month, but may stretch out to two months. Full refunds available up to 48 hours before clients first session begins. Once sessions have started and after the 48 hour window before, no refunds. Foundations take tailored planning from the instructor, and their time is valuable. If something comes up (as life tends to do), we are happy to work with you to reschedule your Foundations Session!

Private Session Policies

Privates vary from teacher to teacher. Not all instructors teach privates. Due to the customized nature of Privates, clients must pay for experience up front. Full refunds available up to 48 hours before clients private begins. After the 48 hour window before, no refunds. Privates take planning from the instructor, and their time is valuable. If something comes up (as life tends to do), we are happy to work with clients to reschedule their Private Session!

Props

Studio props are cleaned frequently (different props vary on cleaning procedures), but if cleanliness is a major concern of yours please feel free to bring your own props. It is always okay to bring in your own blocks, mat, strap, bolster, eye pillow, or sandbag for your own practice. These cannot be stored in the studio, but you may bring them with you to classes.

Client Behavior

  • BEHAVIOR: Maintain respectful and appropriate demeanor inside the studio. Don’t take photos of others without their permission.

  • ARRIVALS/DEPARTURES: Arrive to classes early. After 5 minutes teachers will lock the main door, this does not necessarily warrant a refund. Students that miss class due to a late arrival may be eligible for a class refund, but this will only be done on a case by case basis determined by management, if you reach out. Students may arrive up to 20 minutes early, prior to the start of class. Arriving early respects your teacher, yourself, and your fellow yogis. A late arrival disturbs the teacher and the students, once started. Habitual late arrivals will be addressed by management. If you need to leave class a bit early, please discuss with your instructors before class starts.

  • CELL PHONES: Cell phones are expected to be silenced and either set to “Do Not Disturb” or turned off if brought into the lobby. You may also leave your phone in your car or at home. Even a “silent” phone buzzing during class due to a phone call can cause a disturbance to the class.

  • HYGIENE: Please take note of your personal hygiene when coming to the studio. If attending a full class, you may be pretty close to the other students around you and sharing props, blankets, and more. The studio should be a clean, relaxing space. Please also take your shoes off at the cubbies or by the door, rather than walking your shoes into the studio space to lay your mat down first.
